After advertising, press and children's books illustration, Gonçalo Viana, architect and internationally recognized Lisbon illustrator, leaves his signature and geometric trace in porcelain illustration, with the launch of a collection of four Vista Alegre coffee cups ,that pay tribute to one of the greatest icons of the city of Lisbon and of Portuguese Culture: the poet Fernando Pessoa, and his ritual of drinking expresso coffee (called “bica” in Lisbon).
About Pessoa:
André Carrilho, one of the most celebrated Portuguese illustrators and cartoonists of his generation, has embodied his own Fernando Pessoa (one of the most important poets of the Portuguese language) in this piece, trying to recapture the viewpoint of a child.
