A table made for the first hints of fall. 🍂

We’re delighted to see our Anna Weatherley Forest Mushrooms Accent Plates featured in Flower Magazine’s September/October issue, styled by Amanda Smith Fowler for an early autumn luncheon.

Hand-painted with fanciful woodland specimens, the plates bring a touch of nature, whimsy, and old-world artistry to a layered table of soft pinks, copper, greens, and browns.

A beautiful reminder that fall entertaining doesn’t have to mean

Who says autumn has to be orange and brown? We are opting for a white autumnal palate featuring our Prosperity dinner service from Mount Vernon's George Washington Collection. The Washingtons had a deep affinity for stoneware and creamware and used it extensively. Salt-glazed fragments excavated from the grounds were replicated in great detail for this pattern.

The intensity of this figurine resides with the sculptor who created a bird so dramatic one can almost feel the air currents emanating from its flapping wings. When it moved to the painting studio, the artists deferred to mother nature and simply accentuated the bird's fierce yellow eyes and added liberal touches of gold to its otherwise subtle brown coloration which the artists knew would be enough to impart the appropriate regal presence for such an iconic bird of prey...

Two ducks pose in their feathery finest with alternating colors of yellow, green, brown and terracotta fishnet offset by dramatic gold highlights. Their coy expression could be attributed to the fact that they know a secret: the logs they are sitting on aren't real. Herend's artists have done a masterful job painting in the faux bois style and only a close inspection reveals the true porcelain composition.

We are excited to present the newest addition to the Nativity Scene which is a donkey. His gray fishnet coast has spots of brown which create a sun-dappled appearance while 24K gold highlights add to his appeal. While we don't want to skip over the autumnal season, we wanted to alert you early since 2023 quantities will be limited.

While this mother & baby are a North American subspecies of the brown bear, they are more commonly known as grizzly bears. As to the origin of their name, the bears can thank none other than Lewis & Clark whose journals mention a "grisley bear" no doubt referring to these majestic symbols of the wild whose grizzled appearance is caused by the long guard hairs on their backs and shoulders frequently having white tips. The fur of these bears is often dark...

Yes, our trays are not historic, but the story of the Sandwich is.  The sandwich has come a long way from a hunk of beef and cheese between bread.
“The sandwich as we know it was popularized in England in 1762 by John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich. Legend has it, and most food historians agree, that Montagu had a substantial gambling problem that led him to spend hours on end at the card table. During a particularly long binge, he asked the house cook to ...

While it has often been used as a complement to Herend's patterns, this dramatic decorative border really comes into its own when it gets top billing. Fish scale is available in multiple shapes in 8 colors: raspberry, rust, brown, gold, two shades of blue, and two shades of green.
