Sometimes formal is the way to go, here Mottahedeh's Palma dinner service sets the table for Royalty, Russian royalty actually, Tsar Nicolas I. This lavish decoration incorporates the elements of a plate owned by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, dating to 1667 and inspired by the domes of magnificent mosques in Istanbul, Turkey. Who says autumn has to be orange and brown? We are opting for a white autumnal palate featuring our Prosperity dinner service from Mount Vernon's George Washington Collection. The Washingtons had a deep affinity for stoneware and creamware and used it extensively. Salt-glazed fragments excavated from the grounds were replicated in great detail for this pattern.

A Beautiful mix of Blue and White, Imperial Blue rim soup mixed with a Blue Canton dinner sitting upon the Blue Shou service plate. You can mix all of our Mottahedeh blue patterns and not worry about if they will match; our blue designs are all fired with a cobalt glaze, so they are all the same blue.
With echoes of caryatids, the draped female figures used as columns in ancient Greek architecture, Herend's sculptor has created a compote supported by three elegant seahorses with draping as well - albeit with a pattern alluding to the intricate armored plates that cover their bodies. Once this piece was given to the painting studio, the artists added to the story by decorating each seahorse in a slightly different fishnet color palette reflecting their maritime home. ...
